Visceral and craniosacral techniques

I also have training in visceral techniques; assessment and treatment of restrictions which may affect the internal organs. The attachment and close relationship of the internal organs to the musculoskeletal system can cause and enhance restriction and pain, and therefore being able to act on both musculoskeletal and visceral pain gives huge benefit to the animal. Common types of visceral pain include stomach pain, hind gut discomfort, gastrointestinal bloating, ovarian discomfort, and liver restriction. These techniques also link very well alongside acupressure.

Treatments may also include craniosacral techniques, feeling for and influencing the very subtle movements of the cranial bones and their connection to the sacrum via the meninges, cerebrospinal fluid, and the central nervous system. These techniques help to rebalance the body on a deeper level and provide deep relaxation.
